SUBDIVISION PERMIT

A subdivision permit is required for whoever wishes to complete a cadastral operation, whether of not the project includes streets or if it entails one or more lots. In essence, a subdivision permit creates a new lot that will be integrated in the municipal cadastre. It is required for new constructions. These permits are issued by the building inspector.

To apply for a subdivision permit, a form must be completed at the municipal office and must be accompanied by a plan of the cadastral project in three (3) copies. The $10 fee must be paid. The secretary-treasurer will ensure the application is complete and will give it to the building inspector. He will ensure the municipal plan' regulations are respected. If so, he will respond in writing giving the reasons for his refusal. A copy of all approved and refused permits must be sent to the Avigon MRC.
